Infant diarrhea And Vitamin D


1.8 million children die of diarrhea each year and it was thought that vitamin d supplementation could lower the risks of getting it. New evidence could not confirm it. This is quite disappointing news for all children in poor counries that might be saved otherwise.

Dispite the fact vitamin d defficiency does not stop infant diarrhea, there is still a benefit for the overall health for those children, because they mostly are vitamin d deficient. Vitamin d deficiency can cause a huge amount of other diseases and that was not monitored
